Time:

In life I have realized, there is a “Time” for everything. There is a time to be happy and a time to be mad, a time to be energetic and a time to be calm, there’s a time for questions and a time for answers, there’s a time to work and a time to relax, a time to step away from the issue and a time to run in armed and ready.

Time to us today seems to be everything. Have you ever been in a situation where someone was very down and disappointed and you just wanted to cheer them up, but everyone looks at you and says now is not the time Brennen. Well, when is the time? When they have cheered up on their own?"

Time is free but it's priceless, you can own it, but you can't use it. You can't keep it but you can spend it, once you've lost it you can never get it back. Harvey MacKay

Once you’ve lost it, you can never get it back. Why is it we spend so much Time worrying about when the right Timing is to do something?

Time is an opportunity, it is a privilege, its something that has been given to us, and something we take advantage of, but believe it or not, time will not always be there.

I like how William Booth generalizes it in one of his speeches by saying-

“While women weep, as they do now, I'll fight; while children go hungry, as they do now I'll fight; while men go to prison, in and out, in and out, as they do now, I'll fight; while there is a drunkard left, while there is a poor lost girl upon the streets, while there remains one dark soul without the light of God, I'll fight, I'll fight to the very end!” William Booth

He doesn’t say, While women weep as they do now, I’ll fight (As long as they don’t have an attitude with me). While children go hungry as they do now I’ll fight (as long as they don’t smell too bad). William Booth was willing to step out and fight for these people, he was willing to step out and spread the word of God to them not worrying about what he felt was the right timing, because he had one timing in mind and that was God’s timing and that is all he needed to succeed, and look where The Salvation Army has come today.

Time will not always be there. You wait too long and it will be gone and once you’ve lost it you can never get it back.

I feel we need to open our eyes more and think of when God’s timing is. After all, God’s timing was perfect for David when he defeated Goliath, it was perfect for Daniel as he stood up for God and was tossed in the den of lions, it was perfect for Shadrach Meshach and Abednego who stood up for God and refused to bow to the Idol and were tossed in the fiery furnace.

Let’s put our timing aside and follow the Lord’s timing. Let’s rely fully on Him to do the work that He had created us to do when he had planned for us to do it.
